INCLUSIVITY AND ACCESSIBILITY

This page is designed to be a platform to share and celebrate the amazing communities, charities and initiatives out there doing great work to make climbing more accessible for everyone.

“We can only be what we can see” - lets share and celebrate everyone in climbing to help reach those who don’t yet know the positive influence climbing could be having on their lives.

Be has been part of the Paraclimbing community since having the privilege of becoming a GB Paraclimbing coach back in 2017. This experience changed her life in many ways not least of all introducing her to the wonderful LGBTQ+ community.

Be has experienced the deep connection between climbing and the benefits to mental health. After losing her best friend suddenly at the age of 24, the same year she founded Be Climbing, Be learnt about the incredible psychological benefits of climbing when living through hard times.

Since the devastating death of another friend to mental health, Be founded the charity Climbing Out of Depression and alongside the charities amazing board of trustees is working hard to support those struggling through the darkness.
